Something that has always intrigued me though has been ADS-B or Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast. What is ADS-B? ADS-B in a nutshell is plane tracking. Roll your own stratum 1 NTP server!
In July of 2024, I posted I added a Stratum 1 NTP server to my homelab to reddit. According to that posts analytics, it got 151K total views, 445 total shares and 354 magical internet points, now that’s pretty damn awesome. I hope that the post inspired others to also create their own NTP servers for their own homelab! Welcome! I’ve decided to restart shrunbr.dev as a place for me to start documenting my homelab journey again. Of course, along with homelabbing I also have other interests so they might end up here too. What have you been working on? I have been wanting to play around with container orchestration for awhile and I just recently dove in head first. I’ve explored Kubernetes in the past but something about it just really bothers me, I’m not a huge fan of it. I know that it’s the “de facto” solution but there is another out there that is slowly up and coming…HashiCorp Nomad. ...
